Thanks to everyone who came out to support Sword and Shield, Key Club, and the American Cancer Society last night! We raised quite a bit of money, and it was pretty fun!
This week, our main focus is Dress Down Day on Friday. We're sponsoring it, and we'll need people to sell Wednesday and Thursday during break and lunch.
The basketball season is almost over (States for the girls are on Tuesday!), but if you signed up to work concessions, make sure to be there! The sign-up sheet is posted on the board in E Hall.
I hope you are all having an awesome weekend!! See you Tuesday!
This week:

20 November 2007 meeting...
Hey girls!! We missed a lot of you at the meeting- I hope everything's going well!
Today we talked about our Angel Tree project. We have two kids-- a four-year-old girl named Angela, and a two-year-old boy named Jaylin. Both need pants, shirts, a sweater, a coat, shoes, socks, underwear, and toys and games.
We have divided up most of the clothing items, and we still need toys, but please check with Kelsey H. to see what we still need. Angela's sizes are 4T in clothing and 11.5 in shoes, and Jaylin is a 3T and 8 in shoes. Angela likes singing, pizza, and Elmo. Jaylin might like trucks, planes, Sesame Street or Blues Clues-- anything a toddler would like. And we decided that under no circumstances are we getting Bratz for Angela. ;)
Jake's Reindeer Run is Dec. 2 (Sunday). The link is in the sidebar on the right; you can learn more about the Jake and the project and sign up online.
Please try to bring your Angel Tree items by next Tuesday or Wednesday. If you have not already volunteered or been assigned something, don't get something without checking with Kelsey first! We don't want like fifty shirts and nothing else. (Also, keep in mind how kids feel-- they need clothes, but no kid wants to get them for Christmas. Toys are very important!!)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Enjoy the break and the holiday, and we'll see you all next Tuesday!!

18 September 2007
Hey girls! Great turnout at the meeting today-- thanks for coming! So we now have our bulletin board set up at the end of E Hall. We have information about our upcoming projects, which right now is the Breast Cancer Walk on October 21 at Byrd Park. There is a Trinity Titan team; if you are able, please sign up on the website.
Thanks to those of you who brought in gifts for Russell and Diamond; he was so thrilled!! Let us know about any other opportunities, especially in the Trinity community, to help out or encourage other people.
Back to School Night is tomorrow, Wednesday the 19th. If you are one of the eight girls who has signed up to help, please arrive no later than 7:15. We are meeting in the Commons.
Continue to bring in Yoplait yogurt tops for Breast Cancer fund raising-- we've got a few so far! There is a box underneath our bulletin board and a smaller one in the office. Please wash them off, though, before you put them in the box.
I'm trying to get this website linked to the TES page so it will be easier; cross your fingers!
Thanks so much, and we will see you all next Tuesday!
*Reminder: $5 dues!

First Meeting
Hey girls!! We had our first meeting today at lunch in Mrs Urena's room. We handed out applications for the club and talked a little bit about what we'd like to do this year. If you did not get an application, please see one of the officers or Mrs Grotos.
We are collecting $5 for dues this year so that we can have a starting place for our club bank account. (We use the money to purchase decorations for dances, supplies for Operation Christmas Child, etc.) Please try to get those in by next week (Tuesday) with your application.
Meetings will be Tuesdays during lunch. Listen at morning meeting for the announcement! Unless we have a project, they will probably not take more than 10 minutes. If you have a conflict, please see one of the officers.
We discussed doing something in conjunction with the Happy Club associated with Operation Smile. We'd like to do a fundraiser to help out in any way we can.
Again, as always, let us know if you have any ideas for projects we can be involved in. We need your input!!
Have a great day, everyone, and see you next week!!
*junior and senior girls-- meeting about powderpuff football tomorrow.
*big sister/little sister meeting Thursday.
